Our adventure combos are without a doubt the best way to experience the Marlborough Sounds if you have limited time. With our One Day Link Pathway Kayak & Walk/Bike you can experience all the iconic activities of the spectacular Queen Charlotte Sound in just one day!
This unique trip combines a guided sea kayak tour in the morning with an independent walk or mountain bike ride on the new Link Pathway from Ngakuta Bay to Picton in the afternoon - a fantastic adventure awaits!
This trip takes you away from Picton Harbour to the truly spectacular western end of the Sound where there is less boat traffic and many beautiful bays and coves to explore as well as wildlife to encounter.
After a detailed safety briefing, it is time to set off on a great day's adventure. Your combo begins with a guided sea kayak tour in the picturesque western arm of Queen Charlotte Sound. Within a short time you are exploring the shoreline, spotting rays and sea birds and learning about the lush native bush near the water's edge.
Your kayak tour concludes a few hours later back at Ngakuta Bay. Here you will get your instruction for the walk or bike ride ahead, before departing for your independent adventure on The Link Pathway to Picton. get some instruction for the walk ahead and depart on your independent hike of the Queen Charlotte Track from Anakiwa to Mistletoe Bay. This section of the track passes through lovely bush with spectacular views of Queen Charlotte Sound and is a walk of 3-4 hours. If you have opted to bike instead of walking, the ride willl be 2-3 hours (11km).
The Link Pathway includes several sections of a historic bridle path, built by early settlers and miners in the 1860s, and also WWII signal station remnants. This new track, built by volunteers, is a jewel waiting to be experienced.
Return time to Picton approx. 4.30pm.

Inclusions
We supply double kayaks (singles on request for experienced paddlers only), PFDs (lifejackets), splash jackets, booties, spray decks and dry bags (including for your camera) plus lunch for you to take with you on your walk or bike ride. Kayak guide also included and mountain bike hire if opting for the ride on The Link Pathway.
